SAMI MUSIC BEYOND SAPMI

The Sami Composers Association and Juoigiid Searvi (Joikers association) have

been working together on the project "Sami Stand on Womex" since 2015

Through this project we want to make Sami music more available for the

world focusing on WOMEX and other showcase festivals.

The project is funded by the Sami Parliament in Norway and Sami Composers' Association.

Members of Sami Composers association and Juoigiid Searvi (Joikers association) were present at Womex 2016 on our

first sami-music stand. Altogether we where 17 people.

We made a catalogue with some of the sami artists that are active musicians at the moment.

This catalogue is not a complete list of artists nor labels.
